Something weird going on...
When installing the UserAgent Switch 0.6.5, restarting firefox doesn't install it...it still says that it'll be installed the next time ff is restarted, but that isn't the case, and in turn, it causes the software update to hang. Can anyone confirm this?

I really appreciate Ben's blog notes (see links in Peter's first post of this thread) - He doesn't feel the need to HAVE to find something to write about every day, and his posts are always informative and right to the point... And having a well done patch system will really add to the Firefox experience.

I use Firefox with Proxomitron and Grypen's Filter Set and have a problem.
I'm not sure if this is a problem with Firefox or Grypens Filter Set, but the green Proxo icon can get stuck in the wrong state sometimes after moving the mouse cursor over it. It can also sometimes leave the mouse cursor as a hand icon, which when moved flickers between an arrow and the hand, ending up as a hand when the cursor stops. The status bar shows "javascript:void()"
For an example, go the this page and move the mouse cursor quickly over the top left of the "Mozilla Store" box on the right of the page (2nd box down on the right).
FYI, I am using the latest nightly, but I'm pretty sure the problem also occurred when using the release version of FF 1.0.3.
Is this a problem with FF or Grypen's filter set ?

I have clear type on. Or, if your asking what it is - Display Properties/Appearance/Effects/Smoother edges of screen fonts combobox.
Is cleartype always going to be an issue? I hate not using it.
EDIT #65536: That page has a png background.

cleartype slows down firefox on certain pages.
But from what i've read (and hopefully understand) in the devs chatroom, there's some spiffy new code that can handle a million glyphs a second which should get landed on the trunk one day. but no idea when - and i can't be sure i understood the conversation properly either, so it might have nothing to do with cleartype

What do you guys think about Bug 292688 that I've filed. I apologise Peter(6) if this is a bit off topic.

I installed 0.6.3 several times: no problem at all. The later version caused Firefox 1.0.3 not to run anymore, so I never updated the extension.
