Do you use AdBlockPlus or any other "bootstrapped" or "restartless" extensions? If this shows up again, try disabling the restartless extension and restarting SM. This seems to be correlated for me.

Just one, which was a 'restartless', er, Restart button extension. It is now disabled, as I found that I already had a Restart Custom Button.

The toolbar grippies only showed up that first time after updating SM and, as mentioned, SeaFox was then reinstalled.

So far I've tried renaming global.css to globalish.css and moving that line in the chrome.manifest further up towards the top. I don't really know what else can be done from my end as this is most certainly not my fault. Right now the version I've got appears to work, but I'm finding that shutting down SeaMonkey and waiting 10 minutes or so and starting it back up shows the issue again. Difference between "warm start" and "cold start" I suspect, and Mozilla is always monkeying around with that stuff to improve startup times.

And another fail. Going to do more tests with ABP then.

Not ABP. Seems to be "warm start" vs "cold start" for me. If I close SM and open it right back up global.css loads. If I wait a few minutes and open it back up, it does not load and the grippies reappear. Wanna bet Mozilla broke something with XUL extension compatibility and won't care to fix it?

Can I get the regular seamonkey addon manager somehow? Sea Fox changes the addon manager and makes it look really ugly on my dark GTK theme.

Nope. Sorry. And I don't really have any way or desire to test against the 50 million different possible Linux variations in order to specifically support Linux. As I've told other Linux users, I would just as soon completely remove compatibility for Linux as bother with attempting to really support it. From my experiences with Firefox theme building, dark Linux OS themes seemed especially prone to just being flat-out broken and not compatible with Gecko and XUL interfaces.

Check-in here. *They* updated my work machine to Win10 last week. So far SeaFox appears compatible... even if this interface looks absolutely dreadful. The only issue I've had is that the customizable "addon-bar" area at the right of the statusbar kicked out the icons I had there and wouldn't let me put them back. Not sure if that's related to the Win10 update or not, as frozen customization is common on both SM and Fx after updates. As usual, the "fix" is to delete the xulstore file and redo your toolbar customization.

Also checked-in at AMO and bumped compatibility up to SM 2.48.

I've been using SeaFox on Windows 10 for a while, and it's been working well for me.
I did add this to my userChrome.css, though - the white toolbox didn't look quite right.

Code: Select all

toolbar, toolbox, sidebarheader {
	-moz-appearance: none !important;
}

SeaMonkey 2.48 (beta). After installing Sea Fox, the page search does not work (Ctrl + F).
SeaMonkey 2.46. Everything is fine.

Hello,
i have the same problem with 2.48b1. I had to disable the extension?
Is there any other way to fix the problem?

Thanks
Francesco

Any plans for SeaFox to have an option toggle for the New/Old style Addons Manager?

Thanks. :)
