Restored my old file format

Post by Horsterhoek »

When I restore Windows 10 from my computer Thunderbird is gone. Thunderbird downloaded again and unfortunately he has not  restored my old file format. Now I must first create new folders again and the relevant mail go process. Is it possible to make my last old file format to get back for example, under "history", if this is there?

Search the drive for a directory that contains both "abook.mab" (your personal address book) and "prefs.js" (your settings). That should be a Thunderbird profile. If you find more than one, look at the timedate stamps for those two files to figure out which profile you used most recently. The reason for searching for both those files is a Firefox profile also contains a "prefs.js" file.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_p ... hunderbird for how to tell Thunderbird where it is.

English please. Since this thread is several years old please create a new thread rather than resurrecting an old one.
