I always do a backup of my profile folder before doing this kind of things (and every time I update FF, too).

strong recommended, same here. sometimes i create a new profile in a sandbox or with -no-remote for testing purpose.
some extensions leave native firefox settings behind some dont see and have impact.

I'm very sorry, but I still don't understand how to upgrade my keyconfig to sighed version.
I've downloaded the installer from here:
https: snarfed.org/keyconfig-signed-1.0.1.xpi
And don't know what to do next.
Could you help me?

In the Addon Manager, click the gear button and choose "Install Add-on from File..."

Hello!

Can I restart firefox via keyconfig? The restart addons seem to have died on FF44.

I use Addon Update Checker. It has a restart on the button dropdown which still works. Chris has the restart available on his Extension Options Menu addon button, too.

Reason: Broke the direct link to the xpi. Note the sticky at the top of page. We do not allow direct links except from the authors page.

Restartless Restart. And it just didn't work.
I tried copying code from the addon manager restart link via element inspector without success.
Anyway this worked for me: https://addons.mozilla.org/hu/firefox/a ... r-restart/
The others didn't provide hotkey support.

It would have been to have it in keyconfig though. It tends to not break as much as most addons.

Hi, thanks for this important add-on. Finally I can stop my dictation program inadvertently wreaking havoc, by changing all shortcuts to alt or control! (I posted a question a couple of years ago about it, no one told me about this add-on.)

2 Questions please:
1. How to print my customised list of keystrokes?

thanks :D

Keyconfig has its own hotkeys. Chose keyconfig in the dropdown list at the very top of the keyconfig window. There you find hotkeys for printing. I never used them but I hope they work.

This RDL version seems to have messed up all custom key names with diacritics. At least I don't think they were messed before.
