Seamonkey will not update
I've got the previous version, 2.39, and I've been clicking the "check for update" option on the help menu all morning. It refuses to recognize that there is an update. Do I have to go back to the old way of uninstalling and re-installing? Or is there some other way to force it to update?

Re: Seamonkey will not update
The check for updates not working is a known problem.
You do not have to uninstall SeaMonkey, just install the latest version, which is 2.40 and is available here:

Re: Seamonkey will not update
The "check for updates" feature in seamonkey 2.49.1 doesn't work. When you click on it, it says "There are no updates available. SeaMonkey will periodically check for updates.", but there actually is an update available, because seamonkey 2.49.3 is the current version, and it's available on the seamonkey website. A browser's update feature is an important feature, so why doesn't it work? I can download the latest version of seamonkey, and install it manually, but it should be able to update automatically if the browser has that feature. Is there a way to fix that? Thanks.

same with 2.48, 2.49.1, 2.49.2Automatic upgrades from previous versions are, for most configurations, disabled for this release. Please download the full installer from the downloads section and install SeaMonkey 2.49.3 manually over the previous version.
