Windows 10

Post by mpdooley »

The last 2 revisions do not indicate support or compatibility with Windows 10 as per:
Windows
Operating Systems
Windows XP Service Pack 2
Windows Vista
Windows 7
Windows 8
When do SeaMonkey developers expect that new versions will be compatible with Windows 10?

The current search tool does not allow someone to search using windows 10 - hence not possible to readily locate any threads with this information.
---SM2 - recent interations..........where Users with large bookmark files no longer get - SeaMonkey (Not Responding)....a welcome fix indeed!!!

It might not indicate that it supports 10 but it works fine. Just use it.

SeaMonkey 2.40 runs under Windows 10. I'm using it to post this reply.

To what search tool are you referring? The forum search tool or the search function in SeaMonkey?

Or the Windows 10 search function in the Start menu?
When I use that to do a web search it takes me to Bing in SeaMonkey (because it's my default web browser) but I'm not sure what other integration might be missing.

This doesn't seem like a Builds question, so I am moving it to General.

Please do not PM me for personal support. Keep posts here in the Forums instead and we all learn.

Windows 10 was added to the application manifest as supported platform with SeaMonkey 2.32 already (which doesn't necessarily imply that it's running on it without any version-specific bugs, only means that the build can be run on Windows 10 as far as compatibility is concerned).
