Firefox beta (version 47.0) crash all the time?
Recently I reset my android mobile back to factory setting, and install Firefox and find out that Firefox beta (version 47.0) crash all the time, but my previous version is very stable.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to download a stable version of firefox for android?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Does it crash immediately, or does it stay alive long enough for you to be able to open about:crashes and copy some links to the most recent crash reports/take a screenshot of them?
Other than that, past releases of Firefox are archived here. You might have to wipe your Firefox user data or do a complete uninstall and reinstall though, as your user profile from a newer Firefox version doesn't necessarily work when downgrading to a previous version.

Please see following screen for error, the version for STABLE firefox is installed 1.5 year ago, do you have any suggestions on which version I should install? Furthermore, I prefer to install firefox from Google play, do you have any suggestions on how to locate archived version of Firefox on Google Play?
Do you have any suggestions?

That is just the crash reporter dialogue, which unfortunately doesn't say anything about what exactly has gone wrong.
If Firefox really is crashing immediately after startup even on a fresh install, so you can't even access about:crashes, then you could either:
Other than that, 1.5 years you say? That would mean something like Firefox 34 or 35. Unfortunately Google Play doesn't allow you to install past versions, so Mozilla's archive is your best bet. If you've got a bit of time, you could always try slowly moving forward to see which Firefox version was the first one that stopped working on your phone.
By the way, what sort of phone (manufacturer, model, OS version) have you got?
If Firefox really is crashing immediately after startup even on a fresh install, so you can't even access about:crashes, then you could either:
- If you've got root access on your phone, take a look at /data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/files/mozilla/Crash Reports/submitted - the file names there minus the ".txt" extension (e.g. bp-1a0bba54-9d8c-41bf-bb47-639da2150728) are crash IDs which you can enter in the search box on https://crash-stats.mozilla.com. Sort the files by date and post some of the most recent crashes. (For Firefox Beta, you need to look at /data/data/org.mozilla.firefox_beta/...)
- If you haven't got root access, you could tick the "Allow Mozilla to contact me about this report" checkbox and enter an e-mail address of yours - if you'd PM me that e-mail address, I could try contacting somebody at Mozilla who has full access to the crash database to look for crash reports containing that e-mail.

Re: Firefox beta (version 47.0) crash all the time?
Firefox 47.0 is not Beta channel as it has been a Release since June 7 by the way and 48.0 is currently on Beta channel.. https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/android ... easenotes/
The x86 refers to Intel cpu's and the other is ARM as you can see at https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/android/all/ and https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/android/beta/all/

On Google Play, I can only find Firefox for Android 4.4 and 4.3 Beta.
Could you please tell me on how to locate Firefox 47 on Google Play?

For Android 4.4.4, I would like to know on what the most updated version would be, and why I cannot find any Firefix version on Google Play except 4.4 and 4.3 Beta.

4,4 for Firefox or 4,3 for Firefox Beta on the GooglePlay site are not the version numbers !
That's the appreciation note
To find witch version you have , only on your devise : open Firefox > enter "about:" in the adressbar

Re: Firefox beta (version 47.0) crash all the time?
There is no such thing as Firefox 4.4 or 4.3 for Android or desktop as they pretty much have same version numbers. Firefox for Android did not really get started officially until 5.0 (five.zero) back in June 2011 and then changed to what it is now as of Firefox 10.0. The 4.4 and 4.3 are the average users rating of the products as look at the stars.oemmozillazine wrote:For Android 4.4.4, I would like to know on what the most updated version would be, and why I cannot find any Firefix version on Google Play except 4.4 and 4.3 Beta.
The current Release is listed on https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... la.firefox and since it was updated June 7 it will be Firefox 47.0
The Beta channel of Firefox on Google Play is at https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... refox_beta which is still currently the first beta build of 48.0 as in 48.0b1

Re: Firefox beta (version 47.0) crash all the time?
I have checked, it is 47 and still find crashing all the time.
Does anyone have the same crashing experiment on 47?
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall 47?
Thanks, to everyone very much for any suggestions :>
