TB 45: GUI bug on instantiating

Post by EvilDragon »

Hello!

Since I updated to TB45, I've been having this issue with Thunderbird... Whenever I run it, it has this black strip at the bottom as it doesn't fullscreen properly (see image - dual monitor user here!).

I have to disable maximize then reenable it so that it redraws correctly:

Hardware accelleration is disabled. Tried enabling it, doesn't work. System info: Intel i5-2380P, 16 GB RAM, Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, nVidia GeForce GTX650.

Moving to Thunderbird Support.

Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

It doesn't seem to happen in safe mode. I only have ONE add-on installed: Thunderbird Conversations. Hmmm, curious, if I disable it, it doesn't happen. Heh, so I suppose I lucked out with the add-on then, and it should probably be fixed by the add-on dev?

That would be the case. Have you checked to see if there is an update already available for the extension?

Yes, naturally, sadly it doesn't help. :(

Looks like they are also aware of it: https://github.com/protz/thunderbird-co ... ssues/1075
