Hey everyone,
So I've been using firefox for a while, but recently bought a new computer that came with onboard surround sound. Previously I had a Craetive card that had software to upmix all stereo sound to whatever you needed. But now, the Realtek software doesn't have that same feature.. although stereo music mixes up to 5.1 but sound from firefox doesn't - So Pandora or anything like that only come out in 2 channel sound. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks!

Firefox does not output anything to sound, other than the 'bing' when Quick Find cannot find the text you are looking for.
It's the media plugins that play the sound. You'll need to look for the options in your media player plugin software or your sound card drivers.

Re: Firefox ouputting to 5.1 sound
Youtube uses HTML5 player by default when possible instead of Flash Player now. Also the Shockwave (for director) player and Microsoft Silverlight Plugins are not used on Youtube and the separate Shockwave (for director) player is not needed for Flash Player videos to work as some may think.
