How is the account set up in SeaMonkey, as POP or IMAP?

There is no export function. The import is there to enable users to migrate from a previous email client to SeaMonkey. If it is necessary to migrate to still another client, the import function of that program would be used.

What's your purpose in seeking to export messages? To save them for archival purposes purposes or something else?

I am thinking about importing the SEA MONKEY e mails (IN BOX, SENT etc) into my Mac MAIL account if possible. That's why I want to know how to do this if possible. Thanks

Thanks but it says this:

NOTE: Eudora Mailbox Cleaner is a PowerPC application and requires Rosetta to run on Intel machines. This means that Eudora Mailbox Cleaner will not run on systems with MacOS X 10.7 (Lion) or higher

Any other ideas?

Thanks

This article identifies the default location of the SeaMonkey profile folder -- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_SeaMonkey
The files will have the names of the folders in Thunderbird (e.g. Sent) with no file name extension.

Dan. Well here's the latest. Thanks to you I did find where my mail is on my computer ( ~/Library/Application Support/SeaMonkey/Profiles/********.<Profile name> ) but when I go to Apple MAIL and click IMPORT I can't get to the LIBRARY.

I have talked to APPLE and my server and they haven't been able to help. If only SEA MONKEY had an EXPORT function then that would be great but they don't as they only have IMPORT.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Many thanks.

Two ways around that -
1) Completely quit SeaMonkey; then, in Finder, copy the folders from the profile folder to someplace not hidden.
*or*
2) There should be a keystroke for MacOS to show hidden files. Use it when in the file picker, and Library should become visible.

OK, I did that and have copied the folders but where should I place them now so that when I click IMPORT in Apple Mail they will be found?

Thanks again.

Anywhere that you can access in the file picker will do. From there, you get to choose.
