SM 2.49 has Gecko 49.0 and Firefox 49.0 and later no longer supports OSX 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 so unless SeaMonkey community were to build SeaMonkey Release with support for OSX 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 you will need OSX 10.9 or later.Anonymosity wrote:Mac OS 10.6 will not run SM 2.46, but I do not know if Sierra refuses to run 2.40. I was forced to update to get SM 2.46 to install.

The issues are with the build system used to get the Releases out the door, not the browser itself.Curland wrote:there are some issues with 2.46
Fire 750, bring back 250.

Re: SeaMonkey and Mac OS Sierra
Except for the language packs, I think there are less problems with 2.46 than with 2.40. A couple of major bugs were fixed with 2.45, actually.

Re: SeaMonkey and Mac OS Sierra
I am running release 2.46 in Sierra 10.12.5.1 Beta. Works just fine, except for one problem (carried over from 10.12.4.9 Beta): First selection of any program loads the print window.Curland wrote:Thanks Anonymosity. Well, I want to update to Sierra, but I understand from previous posts on this forum, that there are some issues with 2.46, so I will hold off until that is resolved. In the meantime, I'm just trying to get anyone to let me know if they are running 2.40 successfully on Sierra.
I also use Nightly/Aurora without any problems. I know this is months late, but trying to find an answer before simply moving to another browser. Mac user since 1984 and early Netscape tester. When I moved to Sierra, most recent nightly builds would not load.
