Where is 'File | New | Address Book'? [Mac.]

Post by Silviaa »

Dear all,
I am trying to create a new Address Book and Feeling quite frustrated. I only have the option 'File | New | Address Book Contact’.
I am working on a Mac and it is Thunderbird 45.4.0.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance.

Moving to Thunderbird Support...

Have you tried opening the Address Book & creating a new Card under what ever folder you care to, there?

Thanks,
I just coincidentally found the response. I was clicking in 'File / New /', and if done this way the only option appearing is ‘Address Book Contact’. To make the ‘Address Book’ option appearing, the user needs to first open the Address Book (clicking the icon), and that changes the options within 'File / New /’, and allows both to create both ‘Address Book Contact’ and ‘Address Book’.
I think that making the options of the ‘File’ menu static would make it more intuitive and easier to operate.
Many thanks.
