My calendar vanished from Thunderbird this week, this apparently happened after the latest update of T-bird.
I'm running Windows7 x86 (64 bit), with Thunderbird 45.5.1 currently installed. My Calendar-js file still appears under Mozilla Thunderbird in Program files (x86).
How can I recover Calendar with it's former content?

Re: Calendar is missing
I've had this happen before following Thunderbird updates. In both cases, the Lightning extension (which is the calendar) had somehow gotten removed, but after reinstalling it, the calendars were still there.
Check in Tools > Add-ons > Extensions
Is Lightning listed there?
If it is, it couldn't hurt to try clicking the little "gear" icon at the top right > Check for updates
If Lightning is not there, download it and reinstall. I believe the latest version is here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunde ... lightning/
although my Lightning extension says the Lightning home page is here:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/projects/calendar/
By the way, I use the Lightning Automatic Backup extension as well. It backs up calendar files (.ics) as often as you wish to a location you wish.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunde ... ic-export/
Good luck!

Re: Calendar is missing
I happened onto the solution after many hours of thinking I did something wrong and maybe I did. What happened to me included a part that I read somewhere that said Lightning was a part of Thunderbird now. I had disabled my extension and then even removed it and expected it would just show up. I was reading about the calendar tab in the menu bar but I did not have it.
In frustration I decided to go back to the extensions and search for Lightning, found it, installed it and restarted and my calendar showed up. I was relieved to the point of registering here thinking I might be helping someone else with the calendar problem I had. I should have been on the forum first. It would have saved me many hours.
