I am having the same issue on my Mac with FF 50.0.2. Cannot play ANY videos anywhere. I do have Norton Security installed, but no weird plug ins installed. FF needs to fix this issue, my gosh.

Brummelchen, are you running FF on a Mac or PC? I'm not having issues on my PC with FF, just my Mac. No updates with Norton - nothing has changed with Norton - Norton add on is NOT installed on FF. Disabling Norton did not fix the issue. The only change was the FF 50.0.2 update. That' when this all started on my Mac.

Okay, fixed the issue. I did a FF refresh. That must have cleared out errant files or the conflict. I can now view videos again.

try using the 32-bit version of "firefox".. i've heard that there are problems with using "flash player" with the 64-bit versions of "firefox"..

1) Do you use the 64-bit version of Firefox?

2) Do you use Windows 10 64-bit?

BTW, I did a Firefox Refresh (Help>Restart with Add-ons Disabled)
although I'm testing Firefox without any Add-ons.
Just in case...

The problem is still there:

No FF50.0.2 problem on Mac. All videos play just fine including the one noted by 212eta.

BTW, Norton Security is junk!

Firefox 50.0.2 64-bit ~ Video Problem

Can a user with

*Windows 10 64-bit*

and

*Firefox 50.0.2 64-bit*

test the following site?

http://webtv.ert.gr/katigories/eidiseis ... ko-deltio/

*** P.S. ***

I tried Firefox 50.0.2 *32*-bit and the above video can be played!!!

[Conclusion]

It is either a Firefox 50.0.2 *64*-bit problem

-OR-

an Adobe Flash (32-bit) problem on Firefox 50.0.2 *64*-bit.

I had No problems with the *64*-bit version of Firefox before version 50.x.x.

I hope Firefox Developers do something about video problems,
as Adobe Flash is only 32-bit. [-o<

No there is 64-bit Flash Player also. The 32-bit Plugins does not run on 64-bit Firefox versions whether on 64-bit Windows, Mac OSX or Linux.

Only the video you link to does not work while the other video examples below video on page work in testing with the 64-bit Flash Player 24.0.0.178 Beta on Linux.

sorry for the delay but windows x64 is not used regularly
1) Do you use the 64-bit version of Firefox?

2) Do you use Windows 10 64-bit?
right now, but on windows 7, that makes no difference.
and sorry, you are right, the video is not played. its this mentioned issue with flash and the latest versions on x64
flash x64 is recognized: "NPSWF64_23_0_0_207.dll"

ok, it is also possible that their used jwplayer is out of date
used: 4.2.1 http://p.jwpcdn.com/6/12/jwplayer.js?ver=4.6.1
current: 7.8 https://support.jwplayer.com/customer/p ... ease-notes
(from inspector)
the magic number is 51 and you are probably part of it :p

Thank you!!! =D>

BTW, Adobe Flash 24.0.0.178 Beta
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2247819
made NO difference :!:

Still this video cannot be played on Firefox 50.0.2 x*64* & (*Windows* 10 x*64*). ](*,)

If you set 'media.mp4.enabled' to false in about:config(or by using javascript), you'll be able to see the video playing anyway somehow.

Firefox 50.0.2 64-bit ~ Video Problem

Post by 212eta »

I updated Adobe Flash to the latest version 24.0.0.186,
but I still had the same problems with this video:
http://webtv.ert.gr/katigories/eidiseis ... ko-deltio/

Then, I tried the following suggestion:
atlanto wrote:If you set media.mp4.enabled to false in about:config,

You are right! =D>
I managed to play the above video on Firefox 64-bit and Windows 10 64-bit!

*** BUT ***

After I set media.mp4.enabled to false in about:config,
Facebook videos can Not be displayed!!! ](*,)

Here, we go, again!

So, what is really going on, here?

Makes me wonder: :-k

-Is it an Adobe Flash issue OR a Firefox 64-bit one :?:
