Can't login to Microsoft Insider program

Post by Ztruker »

Works with Firefox and IE but not Seamonkey. Wanted to check and see what Insider downloads were available. Can't login with Seamonkey. When I click on Sign in at top right, nothing happens.

Windows Insider Preview Downloads

I'll try Seamonkey Safe Mode and see what happens.

Edit: Nope, doesn't work in SM Safe Mode either.

Edit#2: Ah ha! Works with a new profile. Now how do I figure out what in my old profile is causing the problem.

Cookies. Delete old ones and make sure that your SeaMonkey profile accepts cookies for every site related to Microsoft:
microsoft.com
live.com
onestore.ms
visualstudio.com
gfx.ms
s-msft.com
msn.com
bing.com
etc.

There is some bug in Data Manager so you'll need e.g. SQLite Manager to deal with it:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/seamon ... e-manager/
Bug is when you can't change permission for cookies from "block" or "allow for session" to just "allow" (all the time). I mean you can click but after restart/refresh there is no change.

It was discussed before:
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... #p14688863
Above changes did the trick and I can download from MS again.

Thanks, I didn't connect this problem with the one you referenced. I had a messed up cookie for sure. Deleted all the MS ones and it now works.
