SeaMonkey 2.46 - loss of alignment of nail text

Post by abe-ariel »

Immediately upon upgrading to 2.46 I lost the possibility of aligning my outgoing mail messages to right.
The Set-Right-to-Left-Direction and Set-Left-to-Right-Direction buttons on the ruler do not function.
They are stuck on the default - alignment to left.
I can only change alignment of selected text, using the drop-down menu >FORMAT >ALIGN > RIGHT (or left, etc.).
Help, please to unstick those buttons.
Tks & season greetings.

Works correct under Windows. Try to make new profile and test it. If problem is still there then it must be something MacOS related (I mean SeaMonkey Mac version).

Thank you. I opt for the simpler solution - forget 2.46 and stick to 2.40.

Pity. If it is real bug in SeaMonkey 2.46 for MacOS X it could be fixed in next release... :-"

Given the fact that a growing number of websites no longer play nice with SeaMonkey 2.40 I wouldn't call it a solution at all.

This is only e-mail problem, not a website problem. Right-to-left web pages appear OK, automatically. As to the possibility that it's a real bug in SeaMonkey 2.46 for MacOS 10.9.5 Yosemite, I trust our Forum Administrator will pass it on to the attention of the relevant Mac person for his/her examination.

Translated this means: I don't care if the bug is fixed or not :)

Not really.
What else can I do?
Being bilingual, this bug is bugging me a great deal and I can only hope my request will reach the responsible person.
Thanks

It won't.

If you want a bug to be filed then you'll have to do it yourself, as no one is going to do it for you.

You need a bugzilla account and then you can enter a bug against mailnews:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug. ... ews%20Core

Its the component shared by SeaMonkey and Thunderbird. Screen shots and a step by step help to track it.
