Hrmm. OK. I figured since you updated it yesterday in
http://kb.mozillazine.org/index.php?tit ... ldid=47060
that it was OK to have it in one place in the wiki (but not multiple), even knowing that someone has to update it.

Currently trying to figure out why you had a problem with the template in MediaWIki:Loginprompt, although it's probably not worth the effort. Thanks.

John found my error, I somehow added a space before {{KB account}} and didn't notice it. I think I've fixed things now.

Please add a KB account for me. The page at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_Gmail_w ... illa_Suite helped me a lot this morning! I want to edit that page to note that OAuth2 authentication supports 2-step verification. If your Google account uses 2-step verification, you can authenticate with OAuth2 and not need one of Google’s “app passwords.”

Okay, so I just wanted to add a missing entry to http://kb.mozillazine.org/Files_and_fol ... hunderbird

"You have to create an account on the KB to edit pages", ok. I hate creating accounts, but that's the game. Fair enough.

Then:
"Nope. You have to create an account on the forum to ask for creating an account for the KB." Fuuuuuuuuuuuu.

But I'm motivated. Please, help me or kill me. All I wanted is to edit a goddamn wiki page.

So, hereby please consider my application for a KB account. Best regards.

This page needs an update:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Command_line_ ... hunderbird

because of these bugs:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=882104
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1310738

I can update the page if I get the rights.

Many thanks,

I created KB accounts for pkalina, fqAVn81aEs3FhRGRKmtA and dc_coder_84 and sent them a private message with the username and password.

najoll wrote:Steps to reproduce:

I visited http://kb.mozillazine.org/Default_HTML_ ... hunderbird.

Actual results:

I found myself more, rather than less, confused about Thunderbird settings. Even the heading styles on that page are confusing. (Ah, so a large-ish bold heading is a subheading of the unbolded headings . .) Please consider introducing a clearer system of distinguishing headings from subheadings.

Moreover, I was worried by the references to very early Thunderbird versions.

Expected results:

How fonts work in Thunderbird should have been made clear to me, in a fairly painless fashion.

In particular, I am still hazy about the meaning of the 'fonts for' options that are filed under Tools -> Options -> Display -> Advanced - > Fonts and Encodings.

Also, it would be nice were that an option to reset those 'fonts for' options to their defaults. What are those defaults, please?

Outdated info in Knowledge Base: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update in Update Channels - Advanced: Aurora no longer exists as a Firefox channel. "Aurora" is also mentioned two more times in the first two paragraphs after the channel list.

Need to update various Knowlegebase articles based upon the outcome of the Mozilla issue report:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=751749#c40

Articles that need updating:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Ui.key.chromeAccess
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Ui.key.contentAccess

Need to add:
16: Win (Super/Hyper)

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Ui.key.generalAccessKey

Need to add:
224: Meta
91: Win (Super/Hyper)

Need to create a new page:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Ui.key.accelKey

With following contents:

ui.key.accelKey takes one of following values:

17: Ctrl
18: Alt
224: Meta
91: Win (Super/Hyper)

I can do these updates if you give me an account, or you can do them, doesn't matter, but the Mozilla bug above was from 5 years ago, which is basically how long these articles have been out of date.

Hi -- I'd like to request an account to edit the http://kb.mozillazine.org/About%3Aconfig_entries page and add new pages related to some new prefs. In particular, I would like to contribute a description of the new prefs, privacy.firstparty.isolate and privacy.resistFingerprinting. I'm a Firefox contributor who has helped develop these two features (originally in Tor Browser). Thanks in advance.

Please sign up for a MozillaZine account first and submit another post in this thread using that account. If nothing else it provides a secure way for me to send you the KB account username/password.

OK, I think I have registered properly now. Thanks in advance. (BTW, I would suggest turning on https for this site, so that passwords are transmitted securely.)
