The Java program is installed in Windows and may need to be updated before Firefox can use the Java plugin

Many thanks.

I downloaded and installed Java 8111 again. I have 50.1 FF.

Java console says it is enabled but still showed as disabled when trying to access FB.

Installed JS Toggle On and Off, and it says Enabled too.

It now goes straight to FB so must have fixed it.

I still however do not see anything in Extns or Plug Ins.

Thanks

again.

Er... his UA, if that's the OS in question, indicates he's NOT using 64 bit Fx.
Therefore Java should work fine...as it does here.

I'm not sure that the OP does not know the difference between Java and javascript: http://kb.mozillazine.org/JavaScript_is_not_Java

I can't see FB needing Java for anything other than maybe the odd game perhaps. I don't do FB so wouldn't know for sure, but seems unlikely FB would use Java due its known vulnerabilities.

Aah..good point, but the OP says he/she's installed the latest Java so it should be in Fx 32bit Plugins.
I downloaded and installed Java 8111 again.

If Firefox doesn't find the Java plugin and Java is installed properly then there is likely a problem with the Windows registry and the key(s) that Firefox scans to locate plugins is missing.
