move mail to junk folder

Post by dr_tolle »

Hi Forum

I would like mail that I mark as junk to automatically move to the junk folder.
So In options/security i ticked 'when I mark message as junk' and chose - 'move them to the accounts junk folder'

But the junk mail (the mail that I mark with a 'flame') does still not move automatically move to that junk folder.
any ideas ?

(another thing - is it possible to add screen dumps here ? )

Regards Thomas ;)

See this for posting a screen shot -- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Posting_a_scr ... _the_forum

There are two locations in Thunderbird that must be set to fully activate the Junk Mail controls. Did you review and configure both?
How is the account set up in Thunderbird, as POP or IMAP? Find out using menu path Tools->Account Settings->Server Settings->Server Type at the top right of the dialogue.

Hi Dan thanks for the answer

I found out how to fix the problem by going to account setting and ticking the 'move new junk messages to'

regarding the pics question. How come there is now option to drag or add a pic directly into the thread ? I think that would be a big help to many

Regards Thomas ;)

1. The forums are not run on MozillaZine servers so every bit of storage we use is a gift from the host. We try not to abuse our welcome.

2. If you had been a regular a couple of years ago you would have seen the tons of porn images that were posted as spam. Eliminating the ability to post images directly to the and requiring review of a new member's first post before it is available publicly on the forums has eliminated 99% of that problem.
