Seamonkey mail client is very, very slow
I'm constantly having to wait and wait after I've deleted an email for the delete to finally go through. Often, I get the message that seamonkey is "not responding". How can I speed this up? I checked for updates and I already have the latest update on the email client.

How is the account set up in SeaMonkey, as POP or IMAP?
How many messages are currently in the folder you are working in? Is that the Inbox folder?

It is POP There are 59 messages in the inbox. That's the folder that won't delete messages until 10-20 seconds have passed since I clicked "delete."

Right click on the name Inbox in that left hand pane and select Properties from the context menu, then click on "Repair Folder" button.

I did it on the 2nd as you advised and waited a couple of days to be sure it worked and kept working. Thank you. It works great now. I'll remember to do that if this happens again.
