This is something new in v2.46 Mail. When I launch the mail application I'm prompted to login to two e-mail accounts by supplying passwords. If I mistype one I get the error dialog:
Error with account Main
Sending of password for user [MyEmailAddress] did not succeed. Mail server pop.att.yahoo.com responded:
If I try to check for new messages for the failed account, I get presented with the same error msg again instead of getting the password dialog like would happen in the previous version of SM, where I could recover easily. Now, I have to shutdown SM and restart and login again.

I filed bug 1339309 for this.
(If there is a way to embed URLs, I don't know it so I couldn't do it for the bug.)
