Hi,
I set up Thunderbird and I love it! Couple of questions though,
1. Is there a way to compose a new message in a new tab as well as reply to emails in a new tab on thunderbird instead of dealing with the popups?
2. Is there a way to have a firefox browser and a thunderbird browser side by side in a tab or tab like situation? lol
Thank you so much for any help I can get in regards to these questions!!
Compose in new tab? / Open firefox in Thunderbird?

Moving to Thunderbird Support...
Thunderbird is not a "browser."
It's an email client.

Re: Compose in new tab? / Open firefox in Thunderbird?
At this time there is no provision for running the compose window in a tab rather than in a separate window.
But then running TB under Windows (or on a Mac) does seem to make such tweaks unnecessary as you can run TB and Firefox side by side in separate windows, approximating a tabbed interface.
There was (is?) an extension that provided for website access within TB but it has not been maintained in a long time. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunde ... derbrowse/Thunderbird is not a "browser."

That is bug 449299 and it isn't assigned to anyone to work on at this time.inomniaparatus-r4a wrote:Hi,

The ability to create Events in a Calendar tab (coming in version 52.0-I think) gives me hope that work can begin on that bug. As per comment 189, I may pose that question in the newsgroup, or bring it up on IRC.
BTW if you want Options/Preferences in a tab you can toggle "mail.preferences.inContent" to "true" in the Config Editor.
