The problem is also present with the FF v.52.0.
I do not understand the correlation with the hardware accelerator and phrases that do not appear unless the selections with the mouse.

I tried to update from 45esr to 52esr and had similar (or the same) bug with the bookmarks popup. Text just vanished if I turn the mouse wheel. I guess they has broken the HW acceleration. Anyway, 45esr still works without problems.
