Secure log in Question

Post by kevs »

For extension secure log in:

On one site I chose to never add log in. Changed my mind. But I don't know how to get the window back now when I log in to tell it to save the user/ pass.

Have you reviewed the FAQ's for that extension?

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Mine has wandered off and I'm out looking for it.

did you read this?

Password Manager settings

Firefox will remember passwords by default. You may have disabled this feature, or told Firefox to never remember passwords for a particular site.

-Click the menu button and choose Options.
-Select the Security panel.
If it isn't already check marked, check Remember logins for sites.
-To the right of Remember logins for sites, click the Exceptions… button.
Make sure that the site you're trying to log in to isn't shown in the list.
If it is, select the entry and click Remove.
-Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

I'm not seeing any option in Secure Login (1.2.4 or 1.2.5) to ignore remembering logins to websites. Only option is to create an exception to disable JavaScript protection on login to a site. Don't see how Secure Login has anything to do with the issue you describe.

Any logins I want ignored are managed in Security prefs as described in post above by KPbIM.

EDIT: are you referring to this option, which appears only in the Secure Login icon in the MenuBar, not in its preferences in Add-ons ? When I click on this, it does absolutely nothing, maybe because I have Saved Password editor--don't know why nothing happens there.

Let's try this way:
I'm going to a website that wants a log in/ pass
I click the secure log in and it says no data / log in.
How do I get my user/ pass into secure log in?

That only happens for me if I'm not at an actual login. Again, where/how were you originally able to instruct Secure Login to not remember a password for a specific site?

You have to find a site to test. In any case, I would start by disabling Secure Login and see if you can then login to a site you previously told it to forget. Still not seeing how Secure Login is implicated, but who knows.

What happens when you click on "Saved Passwords--Exceptions," as in my screenshot? Odd, to say the least, that you lay the fault for this at Secure Login, but you apparently have no idea how you were able to get it to forget a password in the first place.

I'm out of ideas, for support, go to http://firefox.add0n.com/secure-login.h ... pe=upgrade and hit Contact Dev...
