Multiple profiles run simultaneously (per-tab)

Post by alex.spunde »

52 upgrade broke Multifox, that allowed me to have multiple profiles run simultaneously, one per tab.
What is the Firefox 'official' solution (if any):
  • ProfileSwitcher nowhere close to be functional in respect to running multiple profiles, rather simplifying access to Profile Manager, unless I'm mistaken.
  • Containers in the Nightly seems to have functionality needed, but addressing different set of use cases
Ability to have profiles opened in 'per-tab' mode, vs. Chrome-style 'per-instance', was a huge FX advantage, IMO.
Any edition (except Nightly) will do.

Use container tabs.

Install the Test Pilot extension and enable Containers.

@mozray: thanks, worked out perfectly
@dfoulkes: thanks, it's a good point. Unfortunately Multifox addon removed by the developer, so Containers it is.
