In Daily 55.0a1 and Earlybird 54.0a2 is the date format M/D/YY
In Windows 7 the setting is DD-MM-YYYY and so I want it in the Thunderbird's.
In February the format was correct in Daily and Earlybird.
I have already tried a empty profile, it doesn't help.
Is a setting changed?

You made me look.
I just opened 45.7.0 and 52.0b4 and the date format is MM/DD/YYYY in those versions on Linux, and M/D/YY in my Earlybird 54.0a2 and Daily 55.0a1.
It appears something changed, don't know how to set it back, or if we can.

It's through a silly change on Firefox/toolkit side. They use now the app built locale. If you want a other date format you need to use a localized build. A en-US build with an other locale file doesn't work. TB is trying to change this behavior, but this needs some time.

Thanks for the information.
I'm using the en-US version of Daily with a Dutch languagepack. There are at the moment no translations for the Windows versions of Daily.
I have to wait.

Does anyone know how to contact the "Earlybird" devs? It appears that they might need to kick the build server.

Not too complicated - when the builds appear, then you will know that the bugs have been worked out and the build is ready

Sure But.Not too complicated
It says here: https://mozilla-releng.net/treestatus
that there is "approval required" to reopen the TREE.
I was wondering if the DEVs might be out-of-town.

In Daily 55.0a1 the date format is now dependent from the language-pack you are using.
In Dutch DD-MM-YY and in English-US M/D/YY.
It is not the same as the Windows setting, but much better.

I have read a conversation on IRC :Arch5 wrote:with Mozilla Dropping the Aurora channel listed in this thread/post http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... &t=3029338 will Thunderbird be doing the same?
so I think that's the same13:40 WaltS48 Looks like Aurora is dead. Will Thunderbird Daily stay at 55?

13:40 WaltS48 merges are next Tuesday
14:01 clokep_work WaltS48: There's a bug filed: bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1353924
14:01 firebot Bug 1353924 — NEW, nobody%mozilla.org — Project Dawn for Thunderbird
14:01 clokep_work I'd guess they're going to skip a m-c merge for 6 weeks?
14:03 WaltS48 clokep_work: It looks that way. Nightly is staying at 55.
14:06 clokep_work WaltS48: Yep! Looks that way to me. Good eye.
PS edit :

So... Since since most 'news Thunderbird' appears to be a secret does anyone think that this will be announced? One way or the other?

At this time I haven't seen an official announcement from Mozilla. I expect that next week. The Tinsmith wrote:So... Since since most 'news Thunderbird' appears to be a secret does anyone think that this will be announced? One way or the other?
The FAQ therube posted has the most information I have seen to date.
Project Dawn bugs are filed for Thunderbird and SeaMonkey.
