For the past week or more, I have found Tb going offline without my using File/Offline. I have only seen this when I wake the computer; I think that it has only happened overnight, and not during the day (Windows set to put the machine to sleep after two hours, and sometimes I am away from the machine for a long enough time for it to be put to sleep.)
Any idea as to what might be causing Tb to suffer from narcolepsy, and if so, how to cure it?

Re: Tb Going Offline
Perhaps its a side effect of a recent update to Windows 10 exposing some flaw in your BIOS. Try having Windows hibernate rather than sleep. See http://www.pcworld.com/article/3078533/ ... -menu.html

Re: Tb Going Offline
Possible, but I doubt it: Most recent Windows 10 updates were 21/23 Feb., Malicious Software Removal Tool, Intel Display (I don't know what that was, just its name,) and Adobe Flash Player Update. I also believe (don't know, just believe) that these were before Tb got tired of being online, and don't seem to have much to do with BIOS. However, I suppose that the Intel update might have such an effect.tanstaafl wrote:Perhaps its a side effect of a recent update to Windows 10 exposing some flaw in your BIOS. I'll try hibernate; maybe I will hibernate, except that it is really too warm in New Mexico for that, with temperatures well above normal.

https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Thunderb ... -p/1016410 reports a similar problem in 2015, no solution.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/303098 reported a similar problem worked around by deleting the google contacts add-on.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/doc ... s#-offline describes a -offline command line parameter, but doesn't mention a corresponding one for online. Try selecting "online" in using tools -> options -> network & disk space -> offline and see if that helps.

Re: Tb Going Offline
I reset Options/Network/Offline from "Automatically follow..." to "Manual State...Online"; this morning, Tb was online when I woke the computer. I am gong to reset to Automatically, to test this; if tomorrow morning, Tb is offline, I shall change back and mark this as solved.

Re: Tb Going Offline ("Self Solved")
Today is the fourth day in a row with Tb reset to its original "Automatically follow..." setting that Tb was online when I woke the computer; it appears as though the problem solved itself.
I may have discovered a new way of fixing computer problems, as the Tb incident is the second "self-solved" problem I have had recently, the other being with a new mouse losing its Bluetooth connection; I started a thread about that on the Windows 10 forums, whereupon the problem stopped.
