[SOLVED] Pinned tab closes when FF is closed

Post by ineuw »

Using FF 50.0.1 the pinned tab closes when I close FF. Until recently, it always remained open when I restarted FF. The Options / General / Startup always set to display my home page.

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history make sure not to clear the Browsing History
Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" -> Settings
Clearing the history this way will prevail and you lose the open tab.
Permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History) can be another cause as well as a problem with the sessionstore file(s) (sessionstore.js and files in the sessionstore-backups folder).

dickvl, thanks, this makes sense. I was cleaning the browsing history manually and stop doing so.
