It looks like built-in tab counter is broken. I have a window open right now with 129 tabs (I counted them myself) but when I try to close this window Nightly warns me I want to close a window with 127 tabs. Could anyone help, please: bug number/maybe someone else reproduced this bug.
Sorry for my poor English.

I've been getting various lock ups when switching tabs for a few nightlies now. Things will randomly lock up and the tabs will not respond to changes for a while. Has anyone seen anything similar recently?
Cheers!

No such problem with up to 700 tabs loaded.

That's quite concerning, for me. I guess I'll need to investigate further. Do you use any extensions at all?
Cheers!

From yesterday's thread posted by avada:
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... #p14743517
Hi!

Is there a painless way to sign unsigned addons, without much pain (needing to tinker with files)? I have a handful that needs signing in anticipation of upcoming XUL addon snafu.

I try to upload them to myself (submitting a new addon), but always get "Duplicate add-on ID found". So annoying...
I don't know want to change the ID. There's some slim chance one might get updated before v57.

Also there's this weird thing where the latest version is not signed for this addon, but all the earlier ones are: https://addons.mozilla.org/hu/firefox/addon/element-properties/versions/
Do not make the mistake that only extensions that have signed in their name are signed.
Extensions only have signed in their names because they are older extensions from before that didn't need to be signed, but were signed automatically and got signed appended to distinguish them from the the unsigned version with the same version number.

If you want to modify an extension and have it resigned then you need to edit the install.rdf file and give the ID field a new value.
In this case the extension has id: properties@darktrojan.net : <em:id>properties@darktrojan.net</em:id>
You can consider to change the email part to your own email address since I assume this modified version is only for your own use.
It is usually best to use the email format for the extension's id instead of a GUID used previously to make it easier to spot the extension in your profile folder.

One thing can be said, LastPass add-on causes the tab lock problem even if opened only 2 tabs.
(when I test http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... &t=3029459 , I encounter the tab lock problem)

Hi Alice I'm sad that you have removed all your valued extensions from the Add-ons website, especially Show Parent Folder and Go Parent Folder and Revert Keyword Column are very useful.

I've seen a release of the e10srollout extension that shows this data:

Code: Select all

    Preferences.set(PREF_E10S_ADDON_BLOCKLIST,
                    // bug 1185672 - Tab Mix Plus
                    "{dc572301-7619-498c-a57d-39143191b318};" +
                    // bug 1344345 - Mega
                    "firefox@mega.co.nz" +
                    // bug 1332692 - LastPass
                    "support@lastpass.com;");

Places database had been changed, so these add-ons will not be working properly.
And near future, xul add-ons will removed by Mozilla.
And there seem to be no Webextensions API.
Sorry, I avandoned xul add-ons from AMO.

Thanks Alice.
Yes I was aware of this, but I think they still work in Firefox 45 and 52 ESR.
I wonder what Firefox will be like when all those changes have happened and all XUL based extensions can no longer be used (no SQLite Manager to fix broken databases).
We really need some API in Webextensions to access things like prefs and elements in the user interface.
I'm curious whether you will still be able to use the command line of the Browser Console.
