Okay, now I did it. I hid the Navigation Toolbar and the Menu Toolbar and the Bookmarks Toolbar. And now, there appears to be no way to get any of them them back! Where can I click to get the context menu that lets me bring the toolbars back and calls up the Customization command? Clicking in the space next to my tabs gets me a context menu about tabs only! Right-clicking the status bar on the bottom doesn't work either.

Hello again. I just discovered the answer to my own question. You hit alt-V to temporarily unhide the menu bar then "w" for Show/Hide, then you use the up and down keys to get the menu(s) restored. Whew.
