Are the compatibility shims for addons still around? They planned to remove it in v55, but I see no sign of it: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1304527

Though there used to be an about:config setting to en/disable it, I don't see anything like that anymore.

Can reproduce it & although have plenty ram/cpu still it happens, with e10s off it just perfect no problems.
Can any one help as to why this happens in e10s?

I've just filed a bug (low scrolling fps on rbc.ru) https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1361427
There are people on this forum who know how to file bugs better than me so please edit the bug if I did something wrong. Thank you!
Sorry for my poor English.

That website is making all cpu cores run 70% plus after scrolling a bit and the cpu usage goes down after waiting for 30 sec and then when another article loads it's doing same,
on edge its smooth.

Hmmm... It's still there for me. (I mis-remembered that it was something with "shim" in it.)

Really? I still have it (disabled in my case).

It looks like Screenshots should be enabled by default soon in Nightly: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1356243#c6 Can't wait :-"
Also, some activity in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1332447
Toolbar API and API to hide the tabstrip are two key bugs Tab Mix Plus WebExtension needs. I hope they'll both land before Nightly 57 :-"

I haven't been on Windows lately and decided to update my Beta and Nightly.

I did a Help > About Firefox and was informed that my Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0 ID:20170427091925 CSet: 0b1c079a2a4b826b217ec7d3c7446ef942e4fc0e 54.0b3 was up to date.

What's up with that?

EDIT:

Must be an infrastructure problem. I have the same result with Nightly and Thunderbird Daily.
Linux Desktop - AMD Athlon(tm) II X3 455 3.3GHz | 8.0GB RAM | GeForce GT 630
Windows Notebook - AMD A8 7410 2.2GHz | 6.0GB RAM | AMD Radeon R5

So what does this mean? Based on the "user story", the addons can be re-enabled. Which about:config setting controls this?

Has anyone else experience slow downs, hangs, and slightly "not responding issues" with nightly for the past week or so? Especially with switching tabs or opening menus from icons like ublock/umatrix or even the hamburger menu? it usually starts after about 20 to 30 minutes of browser use and persist until nightly is closed.

Hello, anyone noticed that Firefox embedded image blocker no longer works? For example go to any site with images, set in Page Info - Permissions Image Load to Block or manually block domains in Media tab of Page Info reload and...images still here. Developers tools shows that images is still loaded without any blocking.
