Thunderbird does not fetch emails after fetching header only

I just updated Thunderbird to v52.1.0 (32bit) on Windows 7 Pro.

I now find that it will show email headers on my POP3 account like it always has done but when I click on "Download the rest of the message" nothing happens.

Do I need to change something or just report this as a bug and wait?

Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

I confirm the same problem. I then updated to the latest Beta version but the problem remains. The problem exists across several email accounts using different servers including GMail. If I change the settings and uncheck Download headers only then the emails correctly download. So the problem appears to be clicking on the send rest of message function, where nothing happens.

Yes, i get this problem too, i fixed mine "downgrading" for the 52.0 version, what can be get here:

You can install over the 52.1.o without lost anything, worked well for me, just can't update again or the problem is back too, then need install the older version again "i even done it for test".
