Hi again,

no feedback on this anybody (from yesterdays thread):

There has been a very annoying bug for me for many weeks or even months now, so I think its time to mention it now after loosing hope it getting fixed without my 'help'. :p

Maybe there already exists a bug id, in that case please forget my whole post and please point me to the bug id so I can see the current status.

The bug is related to the saved login forms (username/password chosen from saved list), which will no longer be accesible after the following procedure.

STR:

- Im using Windows 10 64 Bit Creators Update with Firefox 64-Bit (Im pretty sure its reproduceable on WIN builds only)
- Save several login forms for one webpage - Im doing it for Amazon/Paypal/eBay.
- go to the Sign In Page of Amazon/Paypal/eBay -> it should open You a list of Your saved logins now to choose from to autofill the username/password fields
- now while this saved logins list is open close the tab with CTRL-W -> the tab is now closed, but the saved logins list is still open/visible in the now open tab -> probably the saved logins list is opened in its own process/window/child whatever and doesnt get closes when You use CTRL-W
- You are no longer able to get the saved logins list from any page anymore until You restart Your browser

I tested and can reproduce the behaviour on Amazon/Paypal/eBay login forms (didnt tried more)

Would be happy if anybody can confirm and create a bugzilla id.

@ fuxxi - You can report bug on Bugzilla by yourself, especially if you're only one experiencing problem ;)

some just expect Alice to do it all, it doesn't take long to make a BZ account.

Thanks guys, but the reason why Im not reporting it, is NOT my lazyness. But I want to keep the professional look (and I honestly have no clue about bz and also I want this to be confirmed by other people first) and maybe there is someone else who can put the bug report in better words. You know?

Lets keep the focus on the bug, please :-)

Using Win10 x64 Creators Update with Nightly win64 build here. Seems I gotta try clean profile.. no clue tho what the problems causes if clean profile works..

I have not yet received the Creators Update, waiting for the update to hit WU.

From Quantum Flow Engineering Newsletter 8
The other important change that just landed was disabling non-multiprocess compatible add-ons in Nightly. I wrote about the importance of doing this last week. The adverse performance impact of these add-ons heavily skews our performance measurements on Nightly. I know that losing add-ons that you use is no fun (Nightly disabled a few of my own add-ons when I upgraded to the latest version this morning!) but I kindly ask you to please consider not re-enabling these extensions on Nightly. We know that WebExtension based add-ons are the future, and as Nightly users your help in suffering through a bit of a pain through this transition earlier in order to help us better understand where we are in improving the performance of the browser is much appreciated.
Maybe re-enabling them will send a message. A message that users don't want to improve the performance of the browser?

I can live without CoLT and Nightly Tester Tools.

Or maybe it would send the message that millions of us are using the browser for its addons and performance is already more than adequate. Not that they would listen since "WebExtension based add-ons are the future", at least theirs anyway.

Regarding Webextensions. It's a moot point to get Mozilla to go back to the way things are now. All the major browsers use Webextensions or something similar. Google chrome having the market share in the browser wars is all webextensions. What Mozilla needs to do is make Fx better than Google Chrome in performance, stability and features.

Amen!

They need to get back to basics. Open program, "browse" the web.

If people need more, there should be an easy way for them to customize things, which we had up until recently.

Maybe they need to go back and look at Phoenix, Firebird, Mosaic, Netscape; to see how things worked before. They are making it overly complicated.
