It's time to relax and wait. Or help with tests, and blocking bugs, and release process and join in the stress and satisfaction of knowing you have contributed.
Is this YOUR schedule? If a schedule cannot be kept, then it certainly should not be posted anywhere. That just sets up false expectations, and is a recipe for failure.

I came here wondering something. Someone posted a schedule of when something happens. That something did not happen, now I'm left wondering if it was me. That is no way to run anything. Better to just do nothing.

Better stop right now before this gets out of hand. If you would like to discuss your differences please PM each other.
Schedules are planned and they are changed, unforeseen events happen and aspiration deadlines slip. If you expect something else you don't have the real world experience.
Back in the days when Mozilla moved to tighter schedule in order to keep calendar of releases everyone jumped against the facts that important features will not make it.
Now history repeats itself the other way around.
You need to look at things from the perspective that currently Thunderbird is searching for new home and owners ;) Cherish what you have, cause when it ain't there it's too late ;)
Last time it took me a few years till i find a workable cross-platform solution. Don't wanna repeat that again.

The problem is release vs. pre-release versions. Releases come from comm-esr52, thus the next official release will be 52.2.0 and not 54.0, even though they are on the same level of security.

See http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... &t=2033027 for details (the "Starting with 24.0, ..." part).

I couldn't even start Thunderbird, the error window 'Daily has stopped working' appears when I try to start Thunderbird - this is with the 20170614 (56.0) build. Anyone knows where I can download the hourly build? Hasn't posted here for a long time and I can't remember where it is located.

Thanks!

Just tested and I confirm it sends empty mails. No issues or crashes during loading. x64 build here.

I have also experienced the same error: 'Daily has stopped working'. It started with the 20170613 (x64 ver. 56.0a1) build and continues in 20170614 (x64 ver. 56.0a1) build. The error shuts down Thunderbird and I haven't found any crash folder entries.

I have backed up to the 20170612 Build (x64 ver. 55.0a1) which is stable. Also, for the moment I have disabled automatic updates. Instead, I am manually downloading the Daily (today will be 20170615) to see if the error recurs, but I am keeping the 20170612 build installer.exe on hand in order to have a stable fallback.

Here is the ftp link for 20170612:

Never assume anything. It can make an "ass"' out of "u" and "me" :-)

I can not say "tomorrow" but it appears close.

OT here. I know and I quit.

A little animal husbandry lesson for your edification?

The 'word' in the statement is the name of a common farm animal that is somewhat like a horse only gray and has long ears. If you breed one with a horse you get a mule.

And mules don't breed because both male and female are sterile.

Enjoy. :-)

Is anyone getting automatic Daily updates for Win 32? When Thunderbird 56 became the new Beta and Thunderbird Daily became v57 my auto updates stopped?

I searched the archives and most references are 'How do I stop' or are almost as old as I am. :-)
