Can anyone confirm:
1 - Click on several bugs from the fixed list (in the older thread).
2 - The line that separates the chrome part from the content part becomes black instead of gray.

If you scroll while the tabs are still loading, the line keeps switching from black to gray.

It is a variation of #1373335 [Core:Graphics: Layers]-Top border of Find Toolbar & Web Console blinking/flashing/flickering on black on scrolling [Win]

Alice0775 already reported the bug Josa

Yes I can confirm: Nightly x64 on Windows 7.

Seen first today with my 'normal Profile', which has Extensions and E10s are "off" (because of my Extensions).

I saw this when Updating from 2017-06-15 Nightly to 2017-06-16 Nightly.

Since then, while investigating, I have seen this on ALL the Profiles I have tested.

If I just use Menu, Close I get this 'apparent Crash report':

The Window is from Windows 7.

Title: "Nightly has stopped working"

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: firefox.exe
Application Version: 56.0.0.6376
Application Timestamp: 5943bd07
Fault Module Name: StackHash_3c7f
Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0
Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000

------

I also see this when using "about:addons" and an Extension needs to Restart Firefox.
In this case Nightly does restart and "about:addons" is the 'open tab' with the
updated Extension(s).

However, although this 'looks like a Firefox crash', none of my Profiles actually
has any 'Firefox Crash Reports'.

One other point, all of my Profiles are started using the -no-remote switch like this:

Code: Select all

"C:\Program Files\Nightly\firefox.exe" -profile
"C:\Users\UserNameHere\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\z2xh6et5.92-N64" -no-remote
I suspect that while trying to fix:

[Win] Firefox can update while still running when using multiple profiles concurrently
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1112937

a timer was added in Bug 1370634.

Sometimes the firefox.exe process doesn't exit before applying an update.

Same, no crashes but my cursor turns to the "busy" cursor for ~3secs after closing, pretty sure it didn't do that before.

I'm on inbound but perhaps this issue has made it to Nightly. Those of you running uBlock Origin (I'm running uBlock Origin v1.12.5rc4) do you have an extra wide menu when clicking on the uBO toolbar icon? If not then it could be related to the version I am using. This same problem occurred about a month ago and was fixed. At that time it only happened when Photon was enabled. Now if I disable Photon I still get the wide menu. It's possible other add-ons have wider than normal menus too. My other add-ons don't.

I reported this to Ray Gorhill... https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/issues/2709

**** UPDATE ***
Ray fixed the problem already. It's in uBlock Origin v1.12.5rc5.
