FF 54 lost search bar
The other day I noticed that the search bar was missing in FF 54. Is this version feature or did I mange to somehow turn it off?

Hi rockh1 !
You should be able to get the search bar back like this:
- open the menu (the button with three horizontal lines)
- choose "customize" (at the bottom)
- click and drag the search bar back to its proper place
- click "exit customize"
Does it work ?

mozilla is going to replace or remove (not sure) the search bar - since v5x it is possibleto use the address-bar for search with the chosen search engine in options. just type some search terms in and press enter - firefox will open the chosen search engine website with the results.

Wow ! Thank you for that piece of information - never heard of it before !henke54 wrote:Has it also something to do with CLIQZ ? -> https://cliqz.com/en/whycliqz/human-web
Just went to 'check it out' and there even is an add-on for CLIQZ to work with Firefox :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... src=search
But if I got it right : CLIQZ is a browser and search engine all in one - add an OS and they could beat Microsoft ........

Re: FF 54 lost search bar
Mozilla, via 'middle man" Firefox, want to determine which search results THEY present to you?

Indeed, as far as I'm concerned TestPilot 'extensions' are snoopware or worse.
