The other day I noticed that the search bar was missing in FF 54. Is this version feature or did I mange to somehow turn it off?

Hi rockh1 !

You should be able to get the search bar back like this:

- open the menu (the button with three horizontal lines)
- choose "customize" (at the bottom)
- click and drag the search bar back to its proper place
- click "exit customize"

Does it work ?

Yes. Thank you for the quick response. I looked the menu SEVERAL times but didn't realize the Search was something I could move.

mozilla is going to replace or remove (not sure) the search bar - since v5x it is possibleto use the address-bar for search with the chosen search engine in options. just type some search terms in and press enter - firefox will open the chosen search engine website with the results.

Wow ! Thank you for that piece of information - never heard of it before !

Just went to 'check it out' and there even is an add-on for CLIQZ to work with Firefox :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cliqz/?src=search

But if I got it right : CLIQZ is a browser and search engine all in one - add an OS and they could beat Microsoft ........

Mozilla, via 'middle man" Firefox, want to determine which search results THEY present to you?

Indeed, as far as I'm concerned TestPilot 'extensions' are snoopware or worse.

Click on the 'Learn More' link buried at the bottom, read the bit about Non Mozilla Services..
