how to reset to NO, the autorisation of Popup window ?

Post by Michael REMY »

hi,

i don't understand, since a lot of time, all the website have the right to open a popup window.

i want to forbid ALL THE WEBSITE to do that. how can i do that ?
but i don't want to clean or lost other preferences.

i have the feeling that the "onclick" javascript command which create new window is ignored by this autorisation and goes through all the time !

In Preferences > Privacy & Security > Popup Windows, do you have "Block unrequested popup windows" checked?

On that page, something very briefly appeared (just a flash) and then disappeared. No idea what it was, since there was not enough time to read it. Possibly the ad-blocker took care of it?

about:config, dom.popup_allowed_events, clear the values there.

Note that doing so may break some websites (where you actually do want popups).
Note that even doing so, you still may get some popups.
Fire 750, bring back 250.
