Clear the browser cache (use menu path Tools->Options->Advanced->Network tab->click on "Clear Now" button.)
Delete any cookies relating to the site(s) involved (Tools->Options->Privacy->Firefox will "Use custom settings for History"->Show Cookies button).

Are you sure it is an account ban and not a IP ban?
Do you use the same IP or proxy with both web browsers?

Have you tried changing your user-agent with something like the User-Agent Switcher addon? You can set it to IE for that site and maybe it'll work if your account isn't banned.

Re: sports Forum banned ?
It would be odd if they are banning people based on what web browser useragent they are displaying.

Agree but try going to youtube with anything but the very latest and you'll be blocked from doing most things. I've been to sites where it's Chrome only but changing the user agent does trick it for now. So if this site wants only IE they wouldn't be the first.James wrote:It would be odd if they are banning people based on what web browser useragent they are displaying.

Re: sports Forum banned ?
You can try and see if changing the user string to IE resolves it without even installing an addon.
In the address bar type about:config. In the search bar copy in this:
general.useragent.override
If the preference isn't there right click to create a string and give it that name.
In the string copy in this:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko
Then try signing in. If it works then you know it's a browser problem. You should contact the admin at that forum to find out why it's not signing you in with firefox.
To go back to the default string right click general.useragent.override and reset.
