They are "system add-ons," there whether you want them or not.

Ray I'm fully aware of what they are. :)

In Mozilla jargon they are called Features. Those in the know know how to get rid of them.

Thank you! I hope I'll be able to find STR and send them to Kaspersky support. Also, I didn't want to offend anyone when I wrote "never use AV if you are not an idiot". I am sorry!

Go into the Fx installation folder -> Browser -> Features, and just delete 'em. You can even do it with Fx open.

On my machines, they don't usually come back with an update, but even if they do, the delete process takes about 30 seconds.

And I've never had any issues in my "browser experience" with them gone.

@joeg,

What you quoted in your post is streetwolf's only.

Also, what he was referring to was (probably) using CCleaner to disable the system add-ons/features.

Yep, CCleaner. It's also a fast way to disable add-ons to see if they are causing a problem. Sure safe-mode also disables add-ons but it also sets things to their basic settings. For instance graphic stuff uses skia I believe even though you normally use D3D11.
