I recently had a large update for Avast on my Desktop. After restarting the PC I get a blue screen with the words "Please Wait" I've been waiting ever since! The computer is locked up and I can't do anything. I've looked on line for help but couldn't find anything specific.
The PC was working fine before the update. Did the Avast Update cause this? How do I fix it?
Thanks

Re: Blue Screen--Please Wait
Hi,
Well, for one, may I suggest that if Firefox was functioning O.K. before AVAST updated,
then maybe try the AVAST fora?

what you can do - entering windows 10 safe mode and uninstall avast, then try to start normally and using the uninstaller to get rid of any avast

windows defender is powerful enough to do a good job. at least there were only issues with 3rd-party antivirus, sooner or later.
