Thank you! I've been using popup with maxRichResults=100 for years and I've never seen any flickering. Also, why not to allow to scroll the popup using mouse wheel without scrollbar?
Sorry for my poor English.

I'm not sure it'd be an interesting use-case to support. Everything we add has a maintenance cost and we're not enough to maintain all the options.
Is there a specific reason for setting maxRichResults to a such high value? would 20 not be enough?
The higher you set this value, the more I/O we'll do, it's likely over a certain threshold the performance is horrible (maybe you don't notice that thanks to a very quick SSD, but still we'll do far more I/O than necessary...) and next queries are likely to lag behind, so in general typing in the location bar becomes very janky.

Anyone still use Mozilla IRC ? Looking at the treeherder https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?r ... la-central it looks to me like there are NO windows builds being built, same on the tree for m-i

Maybe ask on IRC what's going on ?

I listen to music on youtube so I have 100+ bookmarks with my favourite tracks. If I want to listen to music, I simply type "youtube" in the adress bar and get a list of urls. That is more convinient than using bookmarks sidebar or "Show all bookmarks" because I would have to find my youtube folder first in that case.

That's the last hourly build I find from yesterday.

There was a massive patch to build system that landed yesterday and I suspect it changed or broke the build system.
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1383257 Land changes to flip windows nightlies on, and to tier 1 on central

Click tc in Windows 2012 x64 opt, Linux x64 opt, and click B or N
You can find build target.zip or target.tar.bz2

Sounds like the bookmarks sidebar may cover your needs, you can search there, and it uses the same matching algorithm than the locationbar, plus it can be kept open. You could also create your custom places query, matching on "youtube" and returning matches sorted by frecency. It could also be limited to a maximum number of results. It works like a bookmarks folder so you can keep it wherever you prefer.
Btw, it sounds like a use-case that could inspire a webext add-on for youtube music.

I too use it in the similar fashion for almost all the sites visited,
not just youtube and it's faster and effective.

Never seen any flickering or problems and would be a huge disappointment if this nifty feature is removed..

Youtube has accounts where you can setup 'liked music' and set different playlists.

Personally I prefer "Spotify". The music is of a much higher quality, IMHO, and the selections are impressive.

Have you ever considered "Spotify?

Are we OT yet? :-)
