I used target.zip and extracted it to my firefox folder. Everything works fine. The build is 36f95aeb4c77f7cf3b3366583008cd6e4b6b1dba

I just did that - really convoluted compared to just downloading from FTP and running .exe Bleh!streetwolf wrote:I used target.zip and extracted it to my firefox folder. Everything works fine. The build is 36f95aeb4c77f7cf3b3366583008cd6e4b6b1dba
Running the zip however does not update the start icon in Windows... still launches the old build.
EDIT: Never used zip builds so no idea what I'm doing... Do you have launch for Explorer all the time and not use a Start Icon from Menu ?

Yep, 20 gigs of cache data In case anyone is wondering: I had cache size manually set to 1024 mb at least for a couple of months (I didn't modify any other settings or about:config entries), and the free space started to vanish around two weeks ago. It looks like Nightly update broke something. I don't know if this bug is reproducible.
Is that 1.125 million entries?

Why when I close the extracted file Win10 is throwing the blue box asking me if I want to run this file ?
Ahhh BS, its the f*ing Pingsender crap
Is there no way to just grab the full installer ?

Oops, sorry,TheVisitor wrote:Thanks but now I'm more confused. the setup.exe file is only showing as 241kb ? I donwloaded that file and on disk its only 636kbAlice0775 wrote:Now, build bot is using "taskcluster"..
You can find win32 and win64 tinderbox build and nightly build.
Open treeherder https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=mozilla-central&filter-searchStr=windows%202012%20opt
Click tc in Windows 2012 opt and Windows 2012 x64 opt.
Click B or N
You can find the build as target.zip, setup.exe and setup-stub.exe
I ran that file and nothing is installed Windows says can't find firefox.exe - I did not see any other download taking place like it might be a stub or something....
target.installer.exe and target.installer-stub.exe in Nr

I got a Win 64 Nightly update about one hour ago. Or at the very least it said it was.
I am a newbie at this. So where, or how, do i find this information? All I know is that Nightly told me there was an update and it did it.

Yes... your on the latest from what I've been able to figure out. They changed around the way builds are sent it seems from an ftp to taskcluster. Hard to break 14 yrs of habits LOLThe Tinsmith wrote:TheVisitor wrote:In the address bar enter: about:buildconfigThe Tinsmith wrote:

Someone has, like me, the same problem for "recent history" not showing in the history button?
Pic of the problem (shows recent history in the history panel, but not in the history button) :

I'm also seeing the same as above. Looks like another update that is still a WIP - work in progress - cart-before-horse again.
This is a pretty silly change - they don't seem to know there are still Desktop systems in use, we are not all using Mobile devices, and I don't use Firefox on my iphone anyhow as its just a shell on top of Safari as I've been told.

"Recommended by Pocket". Just, no. Reminds me of predatory Outbrain/Taboola articles and takes up too much space.

Anyone notice in today's builds that the 'loading halo' is not there now during browser startup ?
