    2.48 is out!.

    Dear all,

While not as long in the tooth and as hard as 2.46, 2.48 was still long enough and finally, I can say that it is out!

Please try it out and see.

Do note that updates are still not working so if you need to update, please install the new one manually.

I know… I know. I need to get the updates done yesterday…. but hey.. we are getting closer to being up to date with the trees
(yes, irrelevant to the updates issue… just trying to redirect your attention elsewhere.. ;P )

    Next up, 2.49 beta …

    Cheers! Image

Good! Thank you all for great work.

I hope mentioned bugs/problems with e-mail client are fixed.

New build or "old" one from 21th July (PL version) is final?

2 crashers were fixed and imap should be more stable compared to 2.46.

There was only one candidate build so the old one was the final. Buildid is probably 07/07 or 07/10 something.

Looks like they need to update the link for 64-bit Linux on front page as it is in Release folder now. However it is still only en-US. Using it now.

History (Ctrl +h) is empty after update. Is it normal behavior? I think it's not because other profiles preserved their history. Problem is my main profile was created many versions ago (around 2.0 when I transferred old files to new one).

Is there chance to fix it? I made backup of entire profile so I can go back to 2.46 version and try it again but I think result will be the same.

That's co-incidence - You Tube decided to whack Flash for good a few days back - http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... &t=3032072

If you have a lot of trouble with HTML5 then consider streaming (as mp4) YT vids to an external player. On Windows, the best would probably be VLC and its road-cone symbol. Details are in the thread linked above.

Pardon my ignorance. What do they mean when they say "updates are still not working so if you need to update, please install the new one manually"? I got an automatic alert from SM to download the new version, and after restarting it seems to have installed (Seamonkey>About Seamonkey). Is there some other "update" I might need?

I'm glad to hear that — and no hiccups with the browser so far. Thanks!

But then, what was the point of the warning in BIG RED TYPE on the release notes??

According to ewong updates should not work. I just asked again after I saw your message. I assume you are on OS X. Will try it on Windows later where I know it didn't work as of 2 weeks ago.
