Re: SM 2.48 PROBLEM
Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

It sounds as though you need to remove the program and reinstall it. You should backup the profile before doing that -- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup

OK I'll try that but are there any good programs that will back it up?
Since I can't even open it how can I back it up Dan?

You should be able to find the profile folder inside ~/Library/Application Support/SeaMonkey/Profileswwe wrote:Since I can't even open it how can I back it up Dan?

Re: SM 2.48 PROBLEM (Mac)
OK but is this the same thing?
I went to MOZILLA.Profiles>default>
and came up with these:
abook.mab
bookmarks.html
Cache
chrome
cookies.txt
default-invite.rdf
default-messages-icq.rdf
default-messages.rdf
history.dat
history.mab
localstore.rdf
mimeTypes.rdf
panels.rdf
search.rdf
XUL FastLoad File
And coped them
Is that the same thing as what you said?

Re: SM 2.48 PROBLEM (Mac)
Actually I think this is what I should copy:
4w6sv9pk.default
So if this is correct and I have copied this then should I go to SEA MONKEY in APPLICATION SUPPORT and just DELETE it?
If so then what do I do?
Thanks for all your help. Sorry for all the questions but this is the first time I've done this!

Yep, that's correct.wwe wrote:Actually I think this is what I should copy:

I guess you could move that SeaMonkey folder in Application Support to the trash, then uninstall and reinstall SeaMonkey and see if it runs.So if this is correct and I have copied this then should I go to SEA MONKEY in APPLICATION SUPPORT and just DELETE it?

Re: SM 2.48 PROBLEM (Mac)
I tried this but that didn't help either. But maybe I didn't do something correct. When you say UNINSTALL SM I just moved it to the TRASH and then tried to download 2.48. Is that correct?
So I now have the original SM in trash.
Any more suggestions?

Re: SM 2.48 PROBLEM (Mac)
i again Dan
I was just wondering if there is any kind of a bug with the 2.48 SM as I had no problem with it before today when it became 2.48
I am on the 10.12.6 Mac IOS Sierra
I just went back to the 2.46 and WAS able to download it but I now need to add my backup, correct? How would I do that? Maybe this will work!
