Open 30 new tabs (press Ctrl-T 30 times), hover the mouse over the last tab, press and hold the left mouse button, hover the mouse over left arrow in order to start scrolling the tab bar to the left.

ER: Animation is smooth
AR: Animation is not smooth, stuttering is everywhere
Bug or feature? :-"
Sorry for my poor English.

So it looks like the new idea is to replace XBL with custom elements. Does anyone have any information on this?
Cheers!

Latest hourly with all the Photon stuff added during last day or so, using the Compact Light theme the 'throbber' on the tab is 'white' and not visible. It could also be related or due to the 'sqaure tabs' landing.
The tab height is smaller than it was before I'm pretty sure.

EDIT: Compact Light is the only theme that has the white throbber. Both Compact Dark and Default has a black tab and thus not a problem.

Time to file again I guess.

I just had my very first "you an't going to that site boy!!" experience. This is a redirect, which changes, to a video from a site and I do it almost every day.

After several darn its!! I cleared the stored cookies and all was normal.

I dislike Mozregression tool - never seems to find the faulty patch. Just ran tests looking for where the throbber turned all 'white' during tab load. Mozregression came up:

2017-08-03T19:29:55: DEBUG : Found commit message:
Backed out changeset ecbeb9354c24 (bug 1383386) for mass-asserting at gfx/layers/ipc/CompositorBridgeChild.cpp:264. r=backout on a CLOSED TREE

Don't think that would do it.. never know I guess.

EDIT: Already filed - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1387083 second throbber on tab is almost invisible on Compact Light theme

Do you disable your extensions and 'stuff'? Or do you run it on a clean Profile?

That makes a big difference. I have never had any problems with the tool.

Always with a clean profile. The tool runs and executes, just never seems to pinpoint the patch causing the issue.

As a Win user do you use the new GIU version or the CLI version? I have never used the GUI but I always had success with the CLI version(s). Or so I was told by the devs.. :-)
