Code: Select all

Reproducible ?

STR:
- Have a couple of Web-extensions installed (in my case : uBlock Origin, Tampermonkey)
- Select a "View Selection Source" from some part of a tab, so a view-source**** tab opens.
- All Web-extensions stop working, their icons no longer open up, it seems they stall, and opening new tabs all fail to fetch content. (That last one may be due to uBo locking up)
yes, reproduced.

Anybody get an update on Windows yet?

My Linux updated earlier, but when I checked my Windows Nightly it was still up to date on yesterday's build.

My Legacy extensions no longer work and there are other changes.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0 Build ID 20170811100330
Linux Desktop - AMD Athlon(tm) II X3 455 3.3GHz | 8.0GB RAM | GeForce GT 630
Windows Notebook - AMD A8 7410 2.2GHz | 6.0GB RAM | AMD Radeon R5

I have not gotten a Win update yet. I see 32bit but no 64bit builds in the tree. As for your extensions? I don't have any (I only have three) that are not already Web-Ex. With yesterdays update I was no longer able to install and Legacy extensions. I tried as a test.

I don't know what you need but the developers version of uBlock Origin, bottom of the AMO page, is Web-Ex. Also the yellow warning goes away. :-)

Tab Mix Plus including multi row tab bar works fine in Nightly 11-08-17 after I enabled legacy addons.

I'm on newest build and suddenly Youtube videos are a lot smaller than they used to be. (1280x720 vs 854x480).

I mean, I could zoom the page out to 90% and still get full sized videos, but I really shouldn't have to.

What will you do when the 'switch' goes away?

Seriously. The solution to these changes is to deal with them and find acceptable substitutes. Not to hack something to try to force things to work.

As I understand it the 'code stuff' that Firefox contains that these Legacy extensions use is 'going away'. Is being removed/replaced. Along with the 'engine' that runs Firefox.

Enjoy folks. I'm out of here.

I have two options: Tab Center Redux and .css code for multi row tab bar. The problem is that TCR doesn't allow to see all tabs at once (I often have >200 tabs loaded) and .css code causes white flashes when closing or switching tabs: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1237654. I'll have to choose the lesser of two evils but for now I'll stick with TMP.
