Is there a way to remove the bright yellow LEGACY warning?

Sad news fellas, I installed SM 2.53a1 to check out the 64bit version and found all of my add-ons marked with the "Legacy" flag.

The 'answer' has been around for 3 months now and found, unsurprisingly, in the SeaMonkey forums. Where you will not find accurate answers is in some random thread in Firefox Support and second guessing based on an alpha one build.

Quite what users and even mods find hard to understand about being on-topic in the Firefox Support forum is a puzzle to me.

I was just speculating, not confirming. I'll stick to my long-term plan. Stay with FX 52 ESR until end-of-life. Switch to SM and see how that goes. I really like SM, but there are a few things I like about FX that SM doesn't have. If the devs don't ruin SM, I'll stay. If they do, I'll look for an alternative. I realize that nothing is definite, I'm just making plans. Better to be prepared, than left stepping and fetching at the last minute. Thanks for your outlook on the SM chain. Your input is always helpful.

i think you wont find it on youtube, but in my living room closet

vivaldi, maybe, i did not like it - its not really portable like opera (losing extensions and passwords)

The point I was making was that irrespective of the existence/non-existence of any alternative arrangements, that the usual development train would need to be adhered to anyway and that no conclusions could be drawn from just that alone.

However, we are still in a Firefox centred forum, so I'll leave it there.

May I ask why you guys are considering Opera and simular if they cannot load your extensions? Firefox without extensions vs. Something Else without extensions... Isn't Firefox still better?

Or will you be able to modify Opera and similar browsers more than Fx57 and that's why?
I thought extensions and modifybility being gone is the reason for leaving Firefox for another browser which can do that, otherwise why not just stay?

Okay, I guess my question is since Opera and similar also have neither, what do they offer over Fx57.
I mean I am also upset over losing extensions and UI modifybility, but other browsers have to offer something bettet over Fx57 to abandon it and I was just asking you what something like Opera offers that's better than Fx57?

Still exploring Opera. I've been using FF [now SM] for such a long time I thought it might be worthwhile to look around while I have months to do it before SM follows FF(?). Never know what one may find.

Note, Opera spaces things out on the bookmark bar in a way that makes it easy to read for me. To achieve the same thing in FF/SM you need a userChrome.css tweak.

Well, Opera and Vivaldi offer a menu bar that Chrome doesn't have. Opera has also its own extension set which is different from Chrome's, whereas Vivaldi uses only Chrome extensions.

But all in all, the days of a traditional-looking browser that is customizable are counted. Alas.
