How are we supposed to find Add-ons for Nightly (57+)?
Most of the add-ons on addons.mozilla.org aren't compatible with Nightly 57, but addons.mozilla.org lies about it. (See https://github.com/mozilla/addons-server/issues/6105 .)
There's a "Find a Replacement" button on the Legacy Extensions page, but when I tried it sent me to a list of add-ons not compatible with Nightly 57.
How are we supposed to find Add-Ons we can use?

you need to set the tag "firefox57" on the left pane in AMO. or use this link https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... =firefox57

Unfortunately the tag firefox57 isn't accurate. Shortkeys has that tag and it last work in Firefox 50.

Re: How are we supposer to find Add-ons for Nightly (57+)?
you need to download and examine inside XPI file if there is only manifest.json (webextension) or install.rdf (legacy)
thats why the results in any article or search here are wrong, there are only <260 addon as webextension

I hadn't noticed that - the around 10 webextension I'm using where found this way and I didn't stumble upon some tagged as firefox57 which actually weren't WebExts... thanks for the info.

thats made from author in wrong forsee to the major changes in v57.tagged as firefox57
you need to read the comments if it may be a hybrid version like uBlock.
eg uBlock (beta) installs as legacy but will work as webextension.

That's definitely a WebExtension though. Also, fixed, according to the developer: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... ws/904688/bjherbison wrote:Unfortunately the tag firefox57 isn't accurate. Shortkeys has that tag and it last work in Firefox 50.

If Shortkeys are fixed the fixed version isn't approved yet as I still can't install it.
(And there are other extensions with the same problem.)

Is it possible to make an webextension that autohides the bookmark sidebar like Omnisidebar does? Omnisidebar is my number 1 extension at the moment and I would hate to miss out on this great feature.

that is always what i tell you (in general) read comments or go homepageThis add-on will not receive any more updates!
It will cease working by next November with Firefox 57.

Re: How are we supposed to find Add-ons for Nightly (57+)?
right site - wrong search.
"57" is marked from author if gecko is current - not from system.
search for "webextension "instead and you get a closer result (around 260) - but not all of those are true webextensions as i pointed out so many times here.
look into xpi file - if it has install.rdf its legacy - if manifest.json its WE. the number shrinks rapidly.

Re: How are we supposed to find Add-ons for Nightly (57+)?
This is my list of extensions, from "Nightly Tester Tools" extension. Unfortunately, it doesn't past the "LEGACY" part, only if disabled.
The only extensions I have that are OK going with this new way are Cisco WebEx, Tab Counter, and Forecastfox (fix version). I could live without those. I'd like to see Adblock Plus, Session Manager, and NoScript fixed soon, as well as Sort Tab, MakeLink, Nightly Tester Tools. I used to like Stock Ticker and RSS Ticker, but those broke even before now...

Session Manager 0.8.1.13pre20170130b
why not the latest final which is newer than pre?
but SM is buggy.
system-addons - parts of firefox:
Activity Stream 0.0.0
Application Update Service Helper 2.0
Click-to-Play staged rollout 1.2
Firefox Screenshots 10.10.0
Multi-process staged rollout 2.15
Pocket 1.0.5
Follow-on Search Telemetry 0.9.1
Photon onboarding 0.1
Shield Recipe Client 55.1
Web Compat 1.1

i miss form-autofill, fly web and presentation as system-addon, possible that not listed or NTT (rather old) can not catch'em
the rest i dont know if hybrid
