Sessionmanager
Hello,
Is this addon feature disabled in Firefox 55.0.2 (32 bit) ?
and if so is there a workaround for it?
Thanks!

Re: Sessionmanager
A Session Manager is shown in the Addons search as an existing extension but hasn't been updated sine January 2017.
It does not show whether it's a signed extension so you may have to change xpinstall.signatures.required to false for it to work.
Also there was something about the xpinstall eventually being phased out or deprecated (pick one) so it may be a moot point to change the item in about:config.

Re: Sessionmanager
Session Manager 0.8.1.13 in the Add-ons is what appears to be the latest and does not indicate whether it's signed.
Is there another in the works for WebExtensions?
Your link seems to say the latest is incompatible with Firefox, I'm not real good with German.
Since it appears unsigned may be why it's incompatible, small panel opens when clicking on latest listed.
Sorry if all of this is wrong - See Limpet235's post.

Re: Sessionmanager
@ adamsmith,
Well, according to the D/L page, it's supposed to work with Firefox v56.
One or 2 seem to have a bit of a problem, but ?

Re: Sessionmanager
what do you miss? the "signed-signed" in its name? thats only for very old extensions, which are auto-signed and got no update since signing became mandatory.and does not indicate whether it's signed
that version was signed last time 30.01.2017 but it is buggy with v55 - use the current dev as recommended. or read the support thread @mozillazine here.
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... start=3315
currently i am on v54 so i cannot reproduce the failure and v55 was used too short to examine buggy extension.
at least you can read yourself that the latest final is failing. there is also discussion about an webextension which seems actually not possible. and the solution from chrome store dont work either due missing api.
not sure which subforum you focus but it could have benefit to read some more

Re: Sessionmanager
@Brummelchen - Not seeing whether it's signed in the add-ons list is the only method I know. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Re: Sessionmanager
All extensions have to be signed.
You can open the .xpi (zip file) & check that is has a /META-INF/ folder (which should contain the signing information).

Re: Sessionmanager
That would be if you downloaded/installed the file, otherwise not necessarily listed in the add-ons listings.
. . . but this would indicate the xpinstall being moved out with all functioning extensions signed, marked in the add-ons list or not.

Re: Sessionmanager
any signed extension is installable when it fits the current build, from time to time firefox reject some because max-version is very outdated.
with the xpinstall switch there is no difference if signed or not but this is neither nor recommended for regular users (same for the script in program files).
the xpinstall switch is available in all nightlies, maybe betas, for extension developers - to test their extension(s) before they get signed which takes time.
but some users think they are more clever than the experienced people... sigh
i have my own and modified extensions signed, simple as that - i took the time to learn.
